Yesterday I FINALLY had a good session at the drawing board. It seems like it's been a long time. I worked on "Iris", a piece I had started last summer but with all the activity of the past few months was unable to finish. First there was the planning of the annual Winesburg Art Show. A fun summer event. Then the exciting "job" of helping my friend Vickie and more artist friends start up a new art gallery in Millersburg, OH. What fun that has been. But sooo much work.
So now, things are slowing down a bit -- at least for this week -- and I was able to do what I love best. Work on a botanical piece. This flower is a challenge but so beautiful. I love all the graceful frills. And the color~ I hope I can do it justice.
I have posted this work-in-progress to my Portraits from the Garden blog.
Enjoy ~
